Tottenham Hotspur contact Everton to sign Jordan Pickford

Spurs are in the market for a striker to replace long-serving captain Hugo Lloris, who is expected to end his 11-year spell at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the end of the season in 2024.
Lloris wasn’t at his best last season as Spurs finished eighth in the Premier League table and missed out on Europe for the first time in 14 seasons. The 36-year-old has scored 45 goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.
His most turnovers (four) last season put goals in the spotlight and the club are said to be poised to replace him with a top keeper this summer, with Pickford already an important target.
The online news portal claims the Toffees’ £40million asking price for the goalkeeper could delay Tottenham, who recently agreed a new deal with the club until the end of June 2027.
The 29-year-old was first linked with a move to Tottenham in January but failed to seal a deal, however, he is back in the club’s sights as they look to land under new manager Ang Postkog Under the leadership of Lu, rebuild the lineup for next season.
Quality contract
according to football transfer, Pickford wants to know who the new Spurs manager will be before Postkoglu takes over, as well as Kane’s future, before making a decision.
Postkoglu replaced interim manager Ryan Mason on a four-year deal, becoming Spurs’ fourth after Mauricio Pochettino, following Mourinho, Santonuno and Conte Permanent manager.
He arrived at Tottenham after winning the domestic treble with Celtic in Scotland last season. His summer plans are already underway as he looks to strengthen his new Tottenham side and goalkeeping is one area he wants to strengthen.
Pickford was one of Everton’s standout players in a dreadful 2022/23 season, and they were all but relegated if they didn’t beat Bournemouth on the final day of the league season.
He has been in Sean Dyche’s side, making 38 appearances in all competitions, as the side sit 17th in the table, just two points above 18th-placed and relegated Leicester City.
The England international has been linked with several clubs including Manchester United and Chelsea, but Tottenham could get their man if they pay his asking price to prevent a bidding war.
